Key considerations include proximity to major roads, site visibility, nearby occupied homes, crime trends, past incidents, and how easily a thief could access and escape the site. Site layout, lighting, and build phase all play a role in tailoring your security plan.

We assess the nearest law enforcement stations and their patrol coverage areas to determine realistic response times. Our remote monitoring team coordinates with them during active incidents when needed. Our SiteGuards are a great option to close this distance.

Response times can vary from 7 to 40+ minutes depending on call priority, time of day, and location. We see typical on-site theft occurring in 2-10 minutes. Our goal is to detect, deter, and escalate before a loss occurs—minimizing reliance on delayed police response. We utilize our on-site deterrence measures such as lights, sirens and presence to dissuade criminals. Our SiteGuards are also a great option to close this response time window and additionally increase deterrence.

Quick access to highways or major roads gives thieves an escape route, increasing risk. We consider this when placing cameras, patrol routes, and deploying deterrence measures.

Yes. Open areas behind or beside properties, including pastures or undeveloped lots, give intruders hidden paths in and out. We evaluate and secure these blind spots as part of our site assessment if the neighborhood risk level determines it is a need.

Absolutely. A single builder allows unified control of schedules, subcontractors, and access protocols. When a neighborhood transitions to multiple builders it is usually a good idea to get ahead of the thieves and put measures in place to push them on down the road!

Occupied homes do help—but only to a point. Thieves target active builds where materials and tools are left unsecured, even if nearby homes are occupied. We treat all builds as active risks. People quickly get accustomed to increased activity from nearby construction and often don’t recognize nefarious activity.

Yes. Our high definition SiteCam systems can capture and record license plates when lighting supports capture as well as proximity/speed of the vehicle is conducive. While license plates are often thought to be the “holy grail” item to capture, in reality it is much more common that license plates are obscured, stolen or fake. However, even these can be useful when identifying marks/features of the vehicle can be tied to fake plates that alone is useful for a law enforcement BOLO alert. Most arrests come from the use of multiple angles and identifying features of vehicles that allow for BOLOs and connecting cases.

Patrol frequency is tailored to your needs. Some sites require continuous presence, while others benefit from scheduled check-ins, shift coverage, or response-ready units.

Unfortunately, no system is 100% foolproof. But when an incident occurs, our investigation team gathers video, identifies suspects, and works with law enforcement to pursue recovery or prosecution across jurisdictions and compiling similar events across customers.
